- What are school ID cards with the "FALA System" module?
It is a so-called E-ID – a plastic school identity card issued in the most secure form, featuring a built-in (but not yet active) FALA module. These cards guarantee the highest standards of security for both the document and data (DESFire EV3 encryption, Common Criteria EAL5+ certificate). The card contains the same data as the paper version, plus the "FALA System" transport module. Traditional ink stamps will be replaced by hologram stickers.
- When can applications for school ID printing be submitted? Are bulk orders free of charge? To whom do educational institutions submit applications?
Applications for ID personalization can be submitted starting August 5, 2024, via the website www.innobaltica.pl/legitymacje under the SCHOOL REGISTRATION (ZGŁASZANIE SZKÓŁ) tab.
- What is the validity period of the IDs (including the FALA System)? What is the validity period for teacher IDs?
Validity periods are determined by the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Science:

Teacher ID – 5 years (issued indefinitely, but must be replaced every 5 years after all validity fields are filled with holographic stickers by school principals).
- Will all ID cards automatically have the FALA System "built-in"?
All school IDs issued by InnoBaltica Ltd. include a communication module that allows travel via public transport within the FALA System in the following cities: Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot (Tricity), Lębork, Słupsk, Puck, Chojnice, and Władysławowo. Rail integration (SKM, PolRegio within the Pomeranian Voivodeship) is coming soon. The decision to activate the module rests with the teacher, parent, or student (if over 13 years old).
- Are students required to activate a FALA Account?
No, students are not required to activate a FALA account. However, without activation, they will not be able to purchase tickets using the school ID card at FALA System devices. Students can perform the activation at any time.
- Where are personalized IDs sent?
Personalized school and teacher IDs are issued exclusively to educational institutions, which then distribute them to students and teachers.
- What is the lead time for order fulfillment?
Applications are processed as quickly as possible in the order they are received. The minimum processing period is 10 business days.
- Is there a fee for a duplicate if the ID is lost or destroyed? Who applies for a duplicate (school, student over 13, or parent/guardian)?
A student over 13 or a parent/guardian applies to the school for a duplicate. The school then requests the printing of the duplicate from InnoBaltica. The application form is available at InnoBaltica.pl/legitymacje. The fee for a duplicate is set according to the price list on systemfala.pl.
- What happens after graduation if I want to continue using the FALA System?
The activated FALA account remains the same, but students must return their school ID to the institution that issued it. If a student wishes to continue using the FALA System via a physical card, they should apply for a FALA Card (identifier) through the portal www.systemfala.pl. The first issuance and delivery of the FALA Card are free of charge.
- What if a student graduates but does not return the ID card?
The FALA System module on the school ID will be deactivated, making it impossible to purchase tickets via FALA devices using that card. However, the FALA account will remain active. The student can still buy tickets, for example, through the "FALA System" mobile app. If they want a physical card, they should apply for a FALA Card at www.systemfala.pl (first card is free).
- If a student changes schools or a new teacher is hired during the school year, a new ID must be issued. Is there a fee for this?
Personalization is free, but the issuance of the card itself is subject to a fee according to the price list at www.innobaltica.pl/legitymacje.
- What should be done if a passport number/series was entered in the "PESEL" field and that document expires during the year? Is a replacement required and is it paid?
Yes, the ID must be replaced. Personalization is free, but the issuance fee applies as per the price list on systemfala.pl under the COSTS AND DELIVERY tab.
- What if a student is entitled to more than just the standard student discount?
The student or parent/guardian must manually enter all applicable discounts into the FALA account. After entering them, a message will appear stating that these discounts must be verified at a Customer Service Point (POK) by presenting a document confirming the entitlement.
