Traveling with a payment card in the FALA System – Key points to remember
Traveling with a payment card in the FALA System – Key points to remember:
-
-
Delayed Billing: Charges for tickets purchased via a reader or falomat will appear on your bank account no earlier than the following day.
-
Pre-authorization: When purchasing a ticket, a small pre-authorization fee may be temporarily held on your account. This amount is automatically refunded.
-
Ticket Inspection: During an inspection, present the same card you used to pay for the fare. The device generates a unique "token" to verify your ticket. The inspector cannot access your personal or bank data.
-
One Tap = One Ticket: Tapping your card directly against a reader automatically buys one standard (full-price) ticket for a single journey. Tapping multiple times will not purchase additional tickets.
-
Group and Discounted Tickets: To buy multiple tickets or a discounted (concession) ticket, you must use the Falomat (the device in the middle of the vehicle) and select the specific ticket types on the touch screen.
-
No Paper Prints: The devices do not print physical tickets or receipts.
-
Checking Validity: You can check the status and validity of your ticket at any Falomat inside the vehicle.
