Important tips for traveling with a payment card in the FALA System
If you use your payment card to pay for trips, please keep the following rules in mind:
-
-
Delayed Charges: The fare will appear on your bank statement no earlier than the following day. The system aggregates daily trips and processes them in a single batch.
-
Pre-authorization Fee: A small pre-authorization fee may be temporarily held on your account during the purchase; this is fully refundable to your account.
-
Ticket Inspections: During an inspection, simply tap the same payment card used for the purchase against the inspector’s device. The system generates a unique token to verify your ticket; the inspector has no access to your card details or bank data.
-
Remember to Check-Out: If you forget to tap your card when exiting (check-out), the system will charge you for the entire route of that bus line (up to the last stop).
-
Discounts and Multiple Tickets: To buy a discounted (concession) ticket or more than one ticket, you must use a Falomat (located in the middle of the bus) and select the options on the touch screen.
-
No Paper Prints: The devices do not print physical tickets or receipts.
-
Checking Validity: You can verify the status and validity of your ticket at any time using a Falomat.
