How does ticket inspection work in the FALA System?
During a ticket inspection, the passenger should present to the inspector's device the identifier used to purchase the ticket, such as:
-
a FALA Card,
-
a bank card registered as an identifier in the FALA System,
-
a watch supporting contactless payments,
-
a smartphone (with Google Pay or Apple Pay),
-
or a smartphone with the FALA app (displaying the QR code from the app, located in the upper left corner, or the QR code of the purchased ticket, found in the "Your Tickets" section).
The inspector's device will then display information about the type of ticket purchased and any discounts associated with the account.
For tickets purchased with a payment card not registered to a FALA account, the travel entitlement is verified by the inspector in exactly the same way. Importantly, the inspector's device does not collect any data from the card, and the inspector does not have access to any data on the inspected payment card. The payment card serves solely as a transaction identifier, and the card data is automatically encrypted. When reading the card, the inspector receives only the information about whether the passenger has a valid ticket assigned to the payment card used for the purchase.
