Why is FALA charging me 1 PLN?
Most often, the amount of 1 PLN is a so-called pre-authorization. This is an action performed by the bank during a contactless payment on a falomat or reader. It is a temporary hold on the customer's account funds – depending on the bank, the blocked amount can range from 1 PLN up to as much as 50 PLN.
Importantly, these funds are temporarily unavailable to the customer, but they always return to the account. In some cases, releasing the hold may take several days due to varying processing times by different banks; the FALA System has no influence over this.
