System FALA

What does a ticket inspection look like in the FALA System?

During a ticket inspection, the passenger should tap the same identifier used to purchase the ticket against the inspector’s mobile device. This can be:

  • A FALA Card;

  • A payment card linked as an identifier in the FALA System;

  • A smartwatch with contactless payments enabled;

  • A smartphone using Google Pay or Apple Pay;

  • A smartphone with the FALA app (displaying the account QR code from the top-left corner or a specific ticket QR code from the "Your Tickets" tab).

The inspector's device will then display information regarding the type of ticket purchased and any concessions assigned to that specific account.

In the case of tickets purchased with a payment card NOT linked to a FALA account, the inspection process is exactly the same. Importantly, the inspector's device does not collect any data from your card, and the inspector has no access to your card's personal or banking details. The payment card serves solely as a transaction identifier, and all card data is automatically encrypted. When reading the card, the inspector only receives information confirming whether the passenger holds a valid ticket linked to that card.
