What to keep in mind when traveling with a payment card in the FALA System?
-
Delayed charges: After purchasing a ticket with a payment card via a falomat or reader, the charge will appear on your bank account the following day at the earliest.
-
Pre-authorization: When purchasing a ticket, a small pre-authorization fee may be temporarily held; this amount is fully refundable to your account.
-
Ticket inspections: During a ticket control, simply tap the same payment card used for the purchase against the inspector’s device. The system generates a unique "token" to verify the purchase. The inspector has no access to your personal card data or card number.
-
Automatic single ticket: Tapping your payment card against a reader or falomat automatically purchases one full-fare ticket for a single trip. Tapping the card multiple times will not result in purchasing multiple tickets.
-
Discounted and multiple tickets: To buy several tickets or a ticket with a concession (discount), you must use a falomat (located in the middle of the vehicle) and select the specific ticket types on the touch screen.
-
No paper printouts: FALA devices do not print physical tickets or receipts.
-
Checking ticket validity: You can check the validity and details of your ticket at any Falomat.
